Research Part 2

I have been doing more reasearch and have run across a few more things related to what im doing. I have been checking out blogs and other types of information trying to see what the moms think and what they need to keep balanced. this i think will help me better understand what i need to shoot for this video.

http://bluesuitmom.com/ this is a blog type site to help the working mom

http://mcdayjob.com/2008/09/03/a-day-in-the-life-movie-trailerwritten-by-directed-by-and-starring-sticky-fingaz/ this is a documentary not about what i want to do but about a day in the life of type of situation.

the following i found all on one web site and they are just how to help manage your day.

http://www.motheratwork.co.uk/default.asp
http://www.mothersmovement.org.
http://www.womenemployed.org.

After doing much reading and looking at all different types of day in the life of stories i have grown a better understanding of the different types of shots that needs to be taken and all the other interviews and B-roll that go along with it. I have discovered its going to be a challenge to make this video complete but i am up to the challenge and i continue to do more reasearch. I also would like to do reaseach on Documentaries and how to make the shots blend better together.

the only way i feel up to this task is i have taken video editing classes and already have a certificate from a college during high school where i had to complete a documentary in order to get my certificate so i have done some previous research on how to make a documentary a complete documentary and not leave anything out but i still plan on doing more research on this.

Hip Hop Narrative? Are you going to produce a documentary via an epic poem structure? You HAVE to explain why you post the reference (you have to connect it to your idea). Otherwise it just looks very random.

I appreciate your past experiences (if you have a posted version of your documentary film, link it) but you need to add specific documentation. Who are you favorite documentary Directors? Name them and explain WHY you respect their work (is it how they structure their subject? Is it the lighting? Is it the accompanying narrative? etc.). Show example clips (or source from YouTube with a time-line indicator so that we know where to look).

Talk to us about your previous research--what is your driving thesis structure to your work? Are you are time-line documentary artist? Are you a narrative artist? Are you a ethereal artist? What is your artistic manifesto (condensed explanation, of course)?

I believe that you are doing research into the "social support" side of your subject matter (the links from this week and the last), but, we need to see the artistic structure research...
